Norm of the North Thats Funny
Norm of the no worth!
Surely my review would annoy those who liked information technology. Just the majority of who saw it was felt just similar me. It has been xx years since the kickoff 3D animated feature film came. Not all the films released in this period were great. Some were technically sounded practiced and some were stories. If you had seen 'Hoodwinked!', you would know how awesome that story was, despite the poor animation production. But this pic failed in all the department.
I recently finished watching the showtime season of 'Trollhunters' and 'Miraculous Ladybug'. Fifty-fifty the telly fabricated products were much better than this film. Minor budget, small production firm et cetera is not an alibi. Thankfully, this is not the only bad animated feature I've seen and so far in my life, but sadly information technology joins the list of those titles.
Maybe! The footling kids could savor it, who does not know to differentiate betwixt practiced and bad. But for the adults, this is definitely skippable movie. The all-time thing most this film was the message information technology carried, though, fifty-fifty for an animated film and a fantasy film, not convincing enough. It was kind of very like to 'Delhi Safari'. In some perspective, I idea it was a remake of that. There are lots of other films similar to this like 'Chole & Theo', 'Happy Feet' and and then on that you lot tin can endeavour them instead.

A film that should have ever stayed on DVD
This is easily one of the worst animated films I've ever seen. With and then-so CGI, stupid story, weak premise, and semi off sync vocalisation acting, it's hard to call up of a lot of other animated films beingness whatever worse. It tries to be funny sometimes, but it never is, and the film makes literally no sense. The whole idea of a freaking polar bear somehow boosting habitation sellers ratings in the Arctic of all places is literally ane of the dumbest things I've ever heard, and I thought that Cars two had a stupid story, just this somehow makes that await like a masterpiece, which is quite the feat. The story as well has no good flow. The transitions seem lazily done and the amount of choppiness and repetitiveness will more than likely make some viewers regret not watching anything ameliorate, which a lot of other films besides this would be. I don't like bashing movies, but I must warn everyone about this poor excuse of a kids movie that should accept never played in theaters, as it has no reason to exist since there are so many other movies that kids would not just enjoy more, but become much more out of than this. I honestly tin can't recommend this picture show to anyone, equally its dumb story and non so great CGI and voice acting make this moving picture is in no way good. Kids and adults are all meliorate off watching something else, as this is a movie that should have always stayed on DVD.

Beary bad
Norm of the North is painfully bad, with stilted dialogue and a palpable sense throughout that the writers were struggling to fill upwardly 90 minutes. It seems to operate on the premise that animation, beautiful madcap antics by furry animals and an inspiration-ish story line are enough to make a skillful movie. The product is the very definition of "mailing information technology in", and by the end I felt that the producer must have had bodily contempt for the viewers. Awful.

The antichrist of animation
Good lord.... god omnipotent.
Words cannot depict this heinous disaster that Lionsgate have given us.
I can't imagine what the producers were even thinking.
Were they laughing in our faces when they sneaked information technology into the theatres?
Or were they crying in shame at what they had just made?
Chances are it's the first reply.
I only can't explain how bad this so called "blithe comedy" is.
First of all, there is no comedy.
No gags.
No jokes.
No nothing.
But a agglomeration of miserable unfunny things going on that the writers call "funny". Not even Tommy Cooper would exist laughing at anything this film has to offer.
Then there isn't a plot to be found.
Well actually I lied, there is a plot somewhere. But once you dig deep into the surface similar Nicolas Cage going insane over a decades one-time bicycle, you lot'll find information technology's a plot y'all've seen before. (Case in point Madagascar, i of the films you should instead picket)
At that place isn't any animation here either.
Well again there is but it'southward straight to DVD quality. Everyone moves jerky, the art style feels lame, the color palate is typical. This "thing" certainly won't be giving any other straight to DVD blithe films nightmares anytime soon.
There isn't any characters, just walking dead lifeless fossils doing things. And nearly all of them are abrasive as the heavens above.
No voices too. What we got is constant shouting, yelling and hurting from these actors.
Rob Schenider should know better than to go along putting his proper noun on stuff like this. Ken Jeong is as grating as he's ever been and I didn't give two craps most anyone else.
And how cartel they waste Beak Nighy too?
Charlie Adler, Jess Harnell and a couple other well-known vocalization-actors are there too simply even this film isn't 1 of their finest hours.
Hold on, why did I simply call information technology a film?
Information technology isn't one.
It's a humorous black hole that'll suck the life out of you and your family if y'all dare watch information technology.
It's the antichrist of animation, a disaster so unbearable, you lot'll might fifty-fifty die of horror watching the bloody thing.
And the fact it's produced by the same person who did Superted (Mike Young) just terrifies me to almost no stop.
Just how did he put his proper noun onto this?
Just how?
Even the phonation directing feels non-real and when it's got Buster Bunny (Charlie Adler) and Oshawott (Lisa Ortiz) trying their best nevertheless it all the same isn't at that place, y'all deserve all the scorn your film gets.
I hope you're happy Splash Entertainment and Lionsgate.
I actually promise you are.

Annoying and Stupid
Alarm: Spoilers
WOW this movie was a total piece of of trash to watch! You would expect the animation and voice interim to be impressive and worth something, NOPE! The movie's "Plot" at the beginning, felt similar to Happy Feet with a Polar Bear named Norm (Rob Schneider) who wants to dance and exist free from anybody else then things become baroque with him leaving to the big urban center to become famous and live a new life, that is just redundant.
we see annoying and odd characters played by Heather Graham (Vear) and Ken Jeong and we are greeted to Mr. Greene (Ken Jeong) a businessman who wants to convince Norm to get-go homes in the...Arctic. Who wants to live in the South Pole? This movie is as well filled with weird lemmings that literally rip-off the Minions with their squeaky voices and annoying movement that piece of work for Mr. Greene, for a entrepreneur that is pretty stupid of workers Blah, Blah, Blah more ridiculous plot and Greene is defeated and it ends with some dumb dance political party
Norm Of The Due north is a awful and badly made film, and i am correct! The animation SUCKS and is boisterous, spastic, and dull, with reusable graphic symbol designs. The Story makes no Damn sense with ridiculous inexpensive clichés and jokes you tin can come across in other animated movies. The interim is cringe worthy with Rob Schneider sticking to beingness a minority in Adam Sandler films than a polar comport. Nearly of the music and soundtrack is some cheap music you tin become off from some random website. This picture show is a cleaved, cheap, and a queasy mess that deserves no recognition.

A disgrace to animation
'Norm of the North' is not quite the worst animated film e'er, and there are worse films overall out there equally well. This is saying little, because 'Norm of the North' is downward there every bit one of the worst animated films in existence and information technology'due south a disgrace to animation, it's that bad.
From the looks of the undeservedly loftier number of useful votes for the generally poorly written (since when are plot summaries, repetition and hardly whatever reasoning enough to warrant one useful vote, let solitary 100+) and useless positive user reviews, which have been proved to be fraudulent and most likely the work of ane person or a small group of people using multiple accounts, this is not going to exist a popular review despite being an honest and hopefully constructively disquisitional one. This is non existence ignorant, they have been violating, or at least close to doing so, IMDb'south Terms and Conditions for two and a half years now, and information technology is disgusting that they are contributing towards destroying the credibility of a good site and it has been proved that deleting of reviews or de-authenticating/deleting their accounts is not plenty to stop them doing it once again and escalating, which is what has happened. If there are people who genuinely like/dislike a film that'southward fine past me, as long as the reviews are worth reading which means summing up strengths and faults thoughtfully and maturely without resorting to insults, inventing conspiracy theories or taking the "I'k right, you're incorrect" attitude, which for some films IMDb reviews are solely lacking in at the moment.
Back to 'Norm of the North' and summing upward all that's wrong with it, it is very poorly blithe and wouldn't even pass muster quality-wise for CGI blitheness x plus years agone. The colours are apartment, the backgrounds are sparse in detail and lack fluidity and the character designs especially the titular grapheme are ugly in blueprint and stiff in movement. There is nada memorable in the music, and it's intrusive, often annoying and doesn't fit the scene. 'Norm of the Norm' fares even worse in the writing section.
At that place is not a single adept line of dialogue, joke or gag. The dialogue completely lacks wit and has no natural menses or rhythm, constantly sounding disjointed. The jokes are very forced and limply timed, with a complete lack of originality and maturity. Similarly the gags are kittenish and unfunny with unimaginative visuals. If one has to pick the worst asset to 'Norm of the North' it is the story which is a complete shambles. There is a distinct lack of charm, fun or heart, everything merely reeks of cheap, it's paced erratically with a leaden pace and a jumpy structure. With the jumpy story construction coupled with parts feeling incomplete and a very dislocated tone that borders on the heavy-handed, the story is non e'er easy to follow, and is often incoherent even. Target audience is a real issue, children will find information technology as well complicated, adults volition observe information technology stupid and simplistic and with trivial of interest. The message is a good i and is well-intended just badly ruined by being delivered with the subtlety of a sledgehammer. The trip the light fantastic toe sequences are random, out of place and scream of incompleteness.
Some have said the characters have some likability. Not to me, to me their personalities were not engaging or in depth (wasn't expecting complexity or three-dimensionality, but was expecting to be able to care for the characters) enough and some grated on the nerves actually. Some have also said well-nigh the lemmings being scene stealers, with comparisons to the Minions from the 'Despicable Me' franchise or the penguins from the 'Republic of madagascar' franchise. For me though, those characters were much funnier, cuter and more than charming, the lemmings were pretty bland and irritated more than amused. The voice actors beyond the board fail to bring much passion or fun to their characters, with a lot of going through the motions and over-compensating.
In summary, awful and a disgrace to animation. 1/10 (a rating that this reviewer has non given out since February). Bethany Cox

Exciting, great environmental message, dandy for younger kids
In this abnormally ambitious first feature film from Splash Entertainment, Norm of the North is about Norm (Rob Schneider), a Polar Carry who is able to communicate with humans. When his home, the Arctic is threatened by the evil developer Mr. Greene (Ken Jeong), he must journey to the concrete jungle and convince people to salvage his home.
This characteristic motion picture offers laughs and highly-seasoned characters for young audiences and I call back information technology likewise represents something bigger that older audiences will also enjoy. Splash Entertainment is an independent animation studio that has been given the chance, past its association with Lionsgate, to create a moving-picture show for the big screen. That'south not an piece of cake job specially with and then much competition from other animation companies. Is it revolutionary? No, but it's a overnice get-go for Splash Amusement'southward movie making journey.
The film'southward delightful animation is colorful and fluent. I beloved how the characters move and dance. I particularly enjoyed watching Mr. Greene's safe legs. Much like his personality, his movements are snake similar - always slithering from place to place. He is my favorite grapheme because he's so over the peak. It also helps that he is voiced by the hilarious comedian Ken Jeong. Speaking of which, all the voice actors in this motion-picture show portray their characters very well. I'm non particularly a Rob Schneider fan but, in this picture show he makes Norm a lovable and costly Polar Conduct.
For me, the sense of humor is hitting and miss. Simply, I'm not really the audience for this picture. A lot of the comedy is geared for younger kids and there is a lot of potty humor. Although there are some jokes for parents and older kids to chuckle at, it is best suited for the younger set. While the slapstick is fast paced, I accept a problem with how the characters come in contact. What makes slapstick funny is cause and effect. Tom and Jerry are a perfect example. When Tom runs smack into a pole his whole body makes solid contact causing him pain. In this the moving picture, the characters seem to be fabricated of rubber. When they come in contact with each other it's like silly putty existence squished together. Now it does kind of work with Norm'southward furry sidekicks, the Lemmings, because their running joke is that they feel no pain. However, it does not work when the other characters react like rubber. With that said, while watching the film the kids in the theater went basics and loved every moment of information technology. Only goes to prove y'all that humor is diverse.
My favorite scene is the opening of the picture show when Norm tries to hunt. Non only does it reveal the condition quo of the principal graphic symbol, it besides provides a lovely introduction to the comedy that will follow. The Arctic landscape adds to the visual ambiance of the animation.
The moral of this film is "nature belongs to the animals." Mr. Greene plans to build condominiums in the Arctic and that'due south why Norm goes to New York and tries to convince them not to do that. I was glad to see this ecology bulletin presented to young children.
I give this film 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it to iii through 12- year-olds. This flick proves that only considering you're non a large Polar Behave does not hateful you can't make a big splash. I can't expect to see more from Splash Entertainment. This film is in theaters Jan fifteen so mark your calendars at present. Reviewed by Keefer B., KIDS Beginning! Film Critic. A Kids Movie with a Message
Alert: Spoilers
Don't look at the box fine art for this motion picture and think it's going to exist a heavy handed moving picture dealing with climate change or a light hearted romp through New York. Sure it will accept on the topic in a subtle manner just it does so in such a way as to not offend ane side of the topic and make the betoken for the other. The terminate result is a fun picture show for kids that will brand them realize we have to treat this planet with respect while at the same fourth dimension not insult people who experience there is no crusade for panic however.
Norm is a polar bear with a problem. The son of the polar bear king at the North Pole he tin't seem to act similar the residuum of the bears. First off he can't grab anything he hunts for and secondly he can talk. Not just comport talk but talk and so that humans tin understand him, a trait merely his missing gramps shared. This comes in handy as the north is fast becoming a tourist attraction with humans flocking to encounter the animals in their "natural" habitat. I say "natural" because animals like Norm's brother realize they can go things from humans like food if they act the way the humans expect them to.
Things take a plow for the worse when a country developer decides to first edifice holiday homes at the north. A future with tons of people everywhere and a land covered in these homes would be devastating to the wildlife there and take away their power to live their lives as they're supposed to. Norm realizes this and sets out to stop it. To exercise so he stows away on one of the model houses afterward a commercial shoot at that place uses footage of him.
The house, and Norm, make it in New York City and he tracks downward the main function of the company intent on building the homes. The company is run by Mr. Greene, a devious manipulator with dreams of vast fortunes at any costs. Working for him is Vera, a adult female who longs to have her bright kid Olympia nourish a prestigious school. Mr. Greene, a graduate of the school, has promised to help her in this cause once the homes accept been congenital. Norm arrives at their offices simply as they are auditioning actors to pose as the polar comport that Vera filmed on location, namely Norm.
Norm does become the job and anybody thinks he'southward really an actor in a polar bear suit. He becomes a star around the office and rather than get the chance to make his example for not building the homes the footage is manipulated to arrive appear simply the opposite. With the assistance of Olympia, who knows the truth and doesn't want to see the northward ruined, Norms sets out to stop Mr. Greene.
So is the movie any adept? Aye it is. It entertains on a number of levels and gets the bulletin beyond that nosotros don't need to spread ourselves everywhere on the planet at the costs of the animals living there. Not only that, it does then in a non-offensive manner every bit well. While the vocalism talents include Rob Schneider, Heather Graham, Ken Jeong and Gabriel Iglesias, and all do well, I often take a hard time trying to credit the actors when the moving picture is animated. That being said they do a pretty skilful job hither.
The but negative I can offer here is in the animation and honestly it's not a terrible thing. Beingness exposed to and so many not bad animated sequences and films from Pixar, the premier studio in the field, you find yourself comparing any other feature fabricated to that golden standard. NORM does a good job but is just slightly off in ways that are hard to describe. That being said information technology really wasn't distracting and kids won't notice. It'due south dainty to see some other studio making the attempt.
The best thing to be constitute in the film is the comic relief and that's supplied by the lemmings. The hirsuite little rodents steal the bear witness from Norm much like the Minions stole the thunder from Gru in the DESPICABLE ME movies. Depicted hither as indestructible they offer the about hilarious moments as Norm's companions at home and on his adventure. And but similar the Minions they never talk merely just rattle on.
On the whole this picture is a fun outing that the whole family can enjoy. It also opens the door to talk to kids virtually protecting the environment without existence preachy or taking aim at anyone who feels the ways to do and then are up for discussion. Rather than say the science is closed it says let's talk nigh this and run across what kind of solution we tin can come up upwards with. For me at least this seems like a responsible style to let kids know and hopefully will help them grow up to observe solutions rather than focus on who to arraign

VIEWS ON FILM review of Norm of the North
Warning: Spoilers
Hello folks. It's the start of the new year again. That ways a lowbrow, cartoon film is beingness marketed badly, it'southward beingness released in Jan, and it'due south being taken downwards past critics like the Arizona Cardinals were taken downwardly past the Carolina Panthers (a rare football reference). 2014 had this going on with The Nut Job and now here comes Norm of the North (my latest review). Seeing "Norm" today with my two nephews and my niece, I realized that these types of movies are critic proof when it comes to small children. I mean it's a cartoon just like annihilation else. You put the young tykes in their seats, give them some Skittles, and they stare straight at the screen, transfixed. So parents, simply exist patient. You can rightfully become run into The Revenant next week (ha-ha).
Anyway, every bit an blithe motion picture fabricated past a rookie managing director (Trevor Wall), Norm of the North is off-putting and unsavory without having an ounce of adult humor. And with a reference to Titanic, a couple of fart jokes, and an assumed PG rating, kids ages 4-viii will still dig it a lot more than their parental units.
At present for kicks-and-giggles, the visual effects in "Norm" are mostly decent with their inspiration evidently coming from any ane of the Ice Historic period movies. It'southward the human characters however, that await a piddling old fashioned (I thought I was watching a Def Leppard music video circa 1992). Bottom line: I didn't dislike Norm of the Due north only a totally mixed review is necessary. When I saw the primary trouper (a guileless polar comport voiced by comedian Rob Schneider) doing weird, gyrated dance moves to some cheesy, outdated Muzak, well I pretty much cringed like a mother.
Featuring the voice-over work of Heather Graham, Ken Jeong, and Bill Nighy, beingness heralded as the first characteristic-length, animation release from Splash Entertainment, and having its chief protagonist dress upward in an outfit prompting him to take a stab at a gay joke (that's what I thought anyhow), Norm of the North contains a trip the light fantastic toe-along-type ending that lets you know that it's strictly for the kiddies. The story begins by chronicling Chill Circle/carnivorous carry, Norm (Rob Schneider). You see Norm is an Ursus maritimus that tin't seem to hunt finer. He can however, talk to humans and has an animalistic sense of empathy. When Norm gets discussion of a rich, real estate mogul (Jeong every bit Mr. Greene) trying to build condos in his Arctic territory, well he becomes distraught, gets on a plane to New York City, and tries to hatch a plan to stop said programmer's coin hungry plans. Look for a scene where young Norman eats live gills and fins at a sushi bar. As well, look away when his sidekicks (hirsuite creatures called lemmings) urinate in a fish bowl and just most everywhere else. How unsanitary.
All in all, I found Norm of the North to be disposable (to an adult, what animated vehicle isn't) yet non atrocious. Ninety minutes go by and what's on screen is similar every other kid toon, evaporating the moment you leave the theater. Actually, strike that. There is one exception. 1982'due south The Hush-hush of NIMH is in my mind, four star stuff. Darn it though, they merely don't make em' similar they used to. Rating: two and a half stars.

Bad Bad Bad Bad Bad Bad Bad Bad Bad Bad Bad Bad
Alarm: Spoilers
I didn't even have to watch this moving picture to know that it'south bad, but I borrowed it from someone who will remain nameless. I don't fifty-fifty need to talk near the horrible predictable story, the amateur blitheness that my ii-year-old niece could do a better job at, and the idiotic characters that are about as fun as watching pigment dry out.
(Really, watching paint dry out would be a lot more than fun.)
It doesn't fifty-fifty deserve one star. I don't get how anyone can watch this movie and say it deserves the Oscar for All-time Animated movie (and i did see that in i review). Did they even WATCH information technology? Nobody with the IQ of a stegosaurus would give this motion picture a higher grade than a 2/10. Rob Schneider needs to distance himself from this movie, which volition (hopefully) be forgotten by the Sands of Time. Fifty-fifty Strange Magic was meliorate, and that was also an atrocious moving picture.
And why why why why why why did they have to apply all those ridiculous songs?????
1 major plot of the story is the fact that developers want to build condos in the coldest identify on Earth! Why would ANYbody exist so stupid as to want a condo in the Chill???
The so-chosen comic relief chosen the lemmings (minions rip-offs) literally pee everywhere. Not pleasant.
And the motion picture doesn't fifty-fifty bother to explain how Norm tin can talk with humans.
And don't even become me started on the incredibly worse-than-amateurish blitheness...
Don't waste your time with this awful movie. I wasted lxxx+ minutes of my life that I wish I could have back.

An excellent family unit moving picture.
Norm (Rob Schneider) the polar conduct doesn't know how to hunt, but he does possess the unique power to talk to humans. When the wealthy Mr. Greene (Ken Jeong) unveils his idea to build luxury condos in the Chill, Norm realizes that his beloved home is in jeopardy. Accompanied by three mischievous lemmings, Norm stows away on a ship to New York. Once there, he meets a surprising marry (Maya Kay) who helps him hatch a scheme to sabotage the shady programmer'southward plans.
Norm of the North is truly an splendid movie yous should not miss.It will undoubtedly please the majority of audience because it is impressively funny from the beginning till the end.

Ane of the greatest animes I've ever seen!
Oh my gosh. I thought after Cory In the Firm, anime could non attain that summit once more, peculiarly afterwards garbage like Assault on Titan and Ponyo.
With shows like Johnny Test, we've merely scratched the surface of potential for a new otaku golden historic period. My Piddling Pony further progresses it into something highly enjoyable, just it doesn't quite reach that explosion of entertainment that the mid-2000s golden age did (Shrek, Cory In The House, Bee Picture).
And then came Norm of the North.
Screw Attack infant-ass Naruto. Sianara Current of air Rises. THIS is the new standard for ALL futurity anime!
I have never seen a single anime earlier with THIS corporeality of effort, passion, brains, and nigh importantly, HEART put in. The story is so complex and engaging. A bear discriminated against and outcasted from society discovers that his village is becoming invaded and enslaved by an ancient legend proved truthful: The army of homo supremacists who spread their propaganda among their people to devour a race weaker then them. Norm the Bear must voyage to the world of the enemy and convince their people to unite in harmony with the bears in order to save his hamlet from tyranny, fascism, and genocide.
Every character is incredibly deep and impressively characterized. The blitheness is unique where information technology makes the earth feel lifelike notwithstanding fanatical enough to submerge you from reality.
Cartel I say it Norm of the Northward is better than CORY IN THE HOUSE!!!!
11/x. It achieves the impossible.

Wow What A Funny Motion picture!.
A polar behave of many words, Norm's greatest gripe is uncomplicated: there is no room for tourists in the Arctic. But when a maniacal developer threatens to build luxury condos in his ain backyard, Norm does what all normal polar bears would do...he heads to New York Urban center to stop information technology. With a cast of ragtag lemmings at his side, Norm takes on the large apple, big business and a big identity crisis to save the day.
This moving picture is extremely hilarious and I was glad to run into information technology. LionsGate did not brand a mistake when they released this fantabulous movie. I enjoyed everything near it.
All the children I know who saw the movie liked it and admired the fantastic and cuddly comport (Norm).

Why? WHY?? WHY??? What was LionsGate thinking?? Clearly they were high when they thought of making this motion picture. I'yard not kidding, the movie is notorious! It even got a 2/10 review!! Norm, the chief character, tries to protect his homeland. The arctic. But Norm...Male child There'due south And so MANY LEVELS OF WRONG WHEN IT COMES TO HIM. Like the number i problem that makes me cringe is his dance. He twerks. O_O. Speechless. ABSOLUTE SPEECHLESS! In that location's a scene where he has a mp3 player and FREAKING SHAKES HIS Barrel IN Front OF THE SCREEN!!! NO I WANTS TO SEE THAT!!! HE CALLS IT, THE FREAKING "ARTIC Milkshake!!! HE ALSO TWERKED IN One time SCENE WERE NORM WAS DANCING IN FRONT OF THESE ANIMALS!!! Conspicuously LionsGate was high when they made those scenes. Some people like his butt shake, just I digress. I watched because looked cute and some reviews said hilarious, 2 kids 12 & xv, married woman I never cracked a grinning. Seemed like someone thought near how they could cash in on Madagascar & Minions popularity. Plot is very sparse and besides much doesn't make sense. I like Rob Schneider and Heather Graham but wonder if it is really the Rob Schneider from SNL. He is funny, his character was non at all. I really wanted to like this but it was pretty lame. I think people rating it and so loftier either have a pale in the film or a relative. Best part of the picture was the comprehend.

Holy moly, where practise I even Starting time with Norm of the Northward?
Since information technology's and so HARD to properly describe why I hate this disaster- slice and then much, I'll give you lot a checklist of everything Wrong with this ... "film".
Do you similar 'idiot plots' (plots that only exist because i of the characters did something really unwise)? ☐
Exercise yous like movies that introduce characters that have petty to no reason to exist? ☐
Exercise you lot like constant bombardments of unfunny and unoriginal fart jokes? ☐
Exercise you like films that effort to get you to similar them through pandering to things that are considered popular/trendy? ☐
Do you lot like animated movies where the skill backside the animation is just slightly below below average? ☐
Practice you similar platitude and totally unoriginal animated kids films (more cliché than your typical Disney fare)? ☐
and the final question:
Practise you similar to actually enjoy movies considering of their intelligence, smart craft, and/or mindless fun? ☐
And that basically sums up the problems I have with Norm of the Due north. I urge y'all, even if it'south complimentary, don't watch Norm of the North. Forcing someone to sentry this film without falling asleep is up there with various methods of torture that I volition non mention hither.

'NORM OF THE NORTH': 2 and a Half Stars (Out of Five)
Animated kids' movie, about a talking polar comport, named Norm, on a mission to save his home from a ruthless rich programmer. The film stars Rob Schneider, every bit the voice of Norm; and information technology costars Heather Graham, Ken Jeong, Colm Meaney and Bill Nighy. It was directed by first fourth dimension feature filmmaker Trevor Wall (who'south had a lot of experience directing kids' animated Telly shows); and it was written past Daniel R Altiere, Steven M. Altiere (two veteran TV kids' moving-picture show writers), Malcolm T. Goldman (a first time film writer) and Jamie Lissow (who also co- wrote the TV one-act series 'Real ROB', with Schneider; who also starred in it). The movie received really bad reviews from critics, but it was mildly enjoyed past audiences. I'm somewhere in the center.
Norm (Schneider) is a unique polar deport, in that he can talk to humans (and dance). He'southward non skilful at hunting though, and he doesn't fit in with the other bears. Norm loves his home still, despite this. And then when he finds out that a greedy rich developer, named Mr. Greene (Jeong), is planning on building luxury houses in the Arctic, Norm travels to New York Metropolis to stop him. 3 lemmings help him on his mission, too as a empathetic employee of Mr. Greene's (Graham).
The film isn't exactly funny, or charming, but information technology doesn't feel overly stupid, or wearisome, either. The characters are likable, and there's as well a really positive message, near defending the environment from large business. I remember most kids will probably enjoy it likewise. I've definitely wasted my time watching much worse kids' movies than this.

My wife'due south son loved this!
I don't know why every critic is ragging on this slice of animated movie theater. JUST after watching the trailer, my wife's son and I thought it would be a great way to spend some bonding time together.
Not only was the picture filled with admittedly gorgeous visuals, but the writing was absolutely perfect joke after joke. The main graphic symbol is a deport that delivers those jokes with great comedic timing. His size compared to those around him (he's a pretty large guy) also gives the impression that he's kind to those smaller than him. Information technology's a swell lesson to teach children. Sure, information technology may not be what most critics are accustomed to, but I think if yous give information technology a hazard, yous might walk away surprised.

Excellent in every mode.
I was actually surprised that this picture is and so splendid and funny in every way. There is existent comedy, amusement and action for every person to enjoy.
Surprisingly for me as an adult,I plant this excellent movie quite hilarious, entertaining and didactic .
Information technology is extremely unfair to meet prejudice and injustice done to a great film like this, simply considering it was never released by Disney.
Critics have been exposed that they receive money and bribes from film companies to talk positively about any movie even if it was a rubbish movie. But since this film company did not offer any bribes to moving picture critics, they attack it.
Honestly, despite the ruthless assail on this great family motion-picture show,it will be number 1 presently in many countries.
Soon you will know that flick critics take been fooling you and defaming this masterpiece movie when you encounter its international success.

My 2/10 is a mistake. Information technology'southward actually an 11/10!
Norm Of The Northward is probably the best motion-picture show ever. Non merely in my opinion. Just in anybody's opinion. Rotten Tomatoes even gave it a 9%/10%, which i think is an understatement, just whatever. There is just one bad thing most this movie.
ane. It's not long enough. Information technology SHOULD NEVER END! EVERRRR!
Now the good things.
1. Rob as Norm. With movies like "The Hot Chick" and now Norm Of The Northward under his belt, It'southward no wonder why he is one of the virtually respected actors in all of Cinema. He is an amazing vox histrion!
2. The complex setting and plot. This movie has the overused moving-picture show cliche "THEY ARE Building HOUSES IN THE NORTH POLE!" but does it actually well. The setting is besides skilful.
3. The character design. THE HUMANS LOOK SO REAL! I THOUGHT SHARK TALE HAD GOOD Animation, BUT THIS IS A WHOLE NEW LEVEL! STUPID, CRAPPY, LAZY Blitheness, LIKE THE KIND SEEN IN "The Lego Movie" SHOULD BE BASED IFF THIS KIND!
4. THE Beloved STORY! IT ISN'T FORCED IN AT ALL!
v. THE MUSIC! Never mind. I can't fifty-fifty pretend this aspect is proficient.
half-dozen. THE REALLY GREAT ACTION SCENES. FROM THE OPENING SCENE, ALL THE WAY UNTIL THE ENDING, It HAS AMAZINGLY SHOT SCENES. MOVIES LIKE, EVERY Film EXCEPT THIS ONE, SHOULD Have A HINT!
Conclusion: The people who gave this movie a bad review are existence paid past Curiosity. This movie is just to deep and smart for them. 11/10 best film always!

My God. This pic was fantastic. I went into this picture thinking it was going to be just another kids animation flick. Boy was I wrong. This motion picture took me on a feel trip I never would of idea an blitheness move could take me on. I damn about cried towards the en..oh look...my bad, I read the title wrong. oh my, I thought I was reviewing Inside Out. So Norm of the N eh. No....Just don't. Your kids would get better entertainment from watching grass grow. In fact, only take your kids out to the park. Don't waste money on this blench worthy "kids" picture. If fifty-fifty you can call it a movie. This "movie." oh man... I cant even construct a coherent sentence. This moving picture broke me. I died a niggling inside. Do yourself and your kids a favor and avoid this "film" like the plague.

Warning: Spoilers
Any review containing the words 'awful', 'bad', 'horrid', 'abysmal' could be considered a spoiler. I didn't give this motion-picture show a i because that would imply that it has some amusement value based on its awfulness. Alas! It doesn't.
My 10yo was able to discern that it was an awful moving picture; although seven twelvemonth-olds found it tolerable.
Rob Schneider is just as unbearable (no pun intended) as a bear as he'southward as a human thespian.
